Mie’s rich natural environment, unique cultural assets and assorted man-made attractions offer its residents a wide range of ways to spend their free time. A series of lush natural parks stretches across the prefecture from north to south, covering one-third of its total land area with forests, rivers and mountains, and a one thousand kilometer-long coastline with beautiful beaches and unforgettable views. Within this natural environment, one finds countless cultural landmarks. Among them, Japan’s most well-known Shinto landmark, the Ise Shrine, whose history that stretches back more than two thousand years has been a popular destination since ancient times.



These natural and cultural assets are complemented by a range of more modern attractions, including movie theaters, museums, large-scale theme parks, and a Formula One race track, the Suzuka Circuit. Festivals and other events further offer residents and tourists a glimpse into the traditions and lifestyles of the region, while the prefecture’s many hot springs provide an ideal setting in which to rest and relax.

　また、博物館やテーマパーク、鈴鹿サーキットなどの観光施設も充実しています。お祭りなどのイベントでは地域の伝統やライフスタイルを経験でき、三重県に多く存在する温泉では、癒しとくつろぎを感じることができます。
